Lucie’s Observations on Massive SHIB Burns

The official marketing expert of the SHIB team, known as Lucie, noticed a significant amount of Shiba Inu meme coins burned in a single transfer approximately six hours ago. Lucie shared her bullish perspective on this burn transaction with the SHIB army.

This marked the second one-billion-SHIB burn executed this week by an anonymous whale.

SHIB Burns Skyrocket 57,069% – Insights from Lucie

One billion Shiba Inu was moved to an inferno wallet from a wallet ending in -82e3. In total, 1,006,913,405 SHIB has been removed from the circulating supply over the last 24 hours, with the latest one-billion-SHIB burn being the most substantial transaction among seventeen total burns.

Additionally, smaller chunks of 2,500,000 and 2,118,557 SHIB were burned. The overall SHIB burn rate has increased by an astonishing 57,069% as a result.

Lucie commented on the massive SHIB burn by sharing a screenshot from Etherscan that illustrated the transaction. She noted that this was the same burn wallet responsible for destroying 1,000,000,000 SHIB earlier this week, bringing the total to 2,000,000,000 SHIB. Lucie mentioned that this whale caught her attention for also burning 700 BONE and LEASH tokens after unstaking them from the ShibaSwap DEX.

On March 24, the X account of the CENT meme coin took credit for the massive one-billion-SHIB burn, claiming they aimed to burn even more SHIB. Now, they seem to have delivered again, delighting both the SHIB team and the community. One billion SHIB is currently valued at $14,410.

On March 26, the SHIB team highlighted a new payment feature, SHIB Pay, which is part of the SHIB Operating System and was launched at the beginning of 2025.
