In a recent post, Lark Dewis, a Bitcoin investor and entrepreneur, discusses a 150-year-old chart from an Ohio farmer indicating optimal market profit times. This chart accurately predicted past market events, like advising to exit in 2007 before the 2008 crash.
New ATH For Bitcoin Soon?
The chart segments market cycles and identifies periods of prosperity, hardship, and panic, marking specific years for profit-taking. It currently forecasts 2026 as a “year of good times,” suggesting an optimal selling period. This raises the question of whether the market cycle will indeed extend to 2026 and if Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high next year.
> “150 years ago, a farmer from Ohio published this chart on when to make money. This chart has proven to be remarkably accurate in the past. It told us to exit the markets in 2007, right before the 2008 crash. Now, it’s indicating that 2026 will be the ‘year of good times’ and…”

Ultimately, we will have to wait and see, as only time will tell if the prediction holds.
Analysts Eye June 2025
Analysts speculate that Bitcoin could achieve new all-time highs by June 2025. However, a rising wedge pattern on the BTC chart suggests an even sooner breakout. If Bitcoin breaks out, it could lead to a significant price surge, while a rejection may lead to further downturns.
Bitcoin has seen a 30% drop since reaching highs in mid-January, which is common in bull markets; historically, Bitcoin has dropped up to 55% before hitting new peaks.
FOMC Meeting Decides The Course
Currently, Bitcoin is around $83,500 with stagnant movement as the market awaits the upcoming FOMC meeting. Amidst economic uncertainties in the U.S., the Federal Reserve is anticipated to maintain interest rates between 4.25%-4.5%.
Employing a cautious approach, the Fed provides limited direction for the future, leading to market apprehension. If rates remain steady, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies may gain momentum, especially as Polymarket forecasts a 100% chance of a rate cut in May.
