Ambu Shares Decline After Earnings Report
Shares in Ambu (CSE:AMBUb) fell sharply on Friday after the Danish medical equipment manufacturer released its third-quarter earnings report, which showed lower-than-expected results in the Endoscopy Solutions segment, according to Reuters.
As of 4:58 am (0858 GMT), Ambu’s stock was down 12.8%, trading at DKK 133.6.
Analyst Soren Lontoft Hansen from Sydbank stated that disappointing organic growth, especially in the pulmonology sector, alongside high expectations from previously strong performances this year, has raised investor skepticism regarding Ambu’s capacity to achieve future growth targets.
Additionally, J.P. Morgan pointed out that the company’s prior announcement of results and guidance last month shifted market attention towards growth specifics.
Although Endoscopy results were slightly below expectations, improved performance in the Anaesthesia segment and enhanced gross margins offered some offset, as noted by J.P. Morgan.
