Ankr Integrates with The Open Network (TON) Blockchain

Web3 infrastructure provider Ankr has integrated with The Open Network (TON) blockchain. Ankr announced this on Thursday, stating that the integration will provide a gateway for developers to build dApps on the TON blockchain. This access allows developers to tap into Telegram’s community of 950 million users.

By utilizing Ankr's API service, developers will no longer need to deploy or maintain their own nodes to access on-chain data. Instead, they can leverage an instant connection to the TON blockchain.

Recently, the number of mini-apps and mini-games deployed on Telegram has surged. Although the TON blockchain operates separately from Telegram, it maintains close ties with the messaging app, which is popular among crypto enthusiasts.

Anthony Tsivarev, Director of Ecosystem Development at TON Foundation, stated, "Working with Ankr highlights our commitment to providing developers with the tools to rapidly build dApps on TON and leverage Telegram's vast global reach."

Since the launch of its native crypto wallet a year ago, Telegram’s ecosystem has seen remarkable growth. According to TonStat, nearly 23 million new wallets have been activated in the past year. Earlier this month, the TON blockchain also had more than 11 million monthly active addresses, rivaling Ethereum.
