The idea of merging all current Broccoli projects into one has gained significant attention, even receiving support from former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ).

Previously, CZ shared a story about his dog, Broccoli, which led to the emergence of various meme coins in the crypto market. However, these projects are currently fragmented and many have suffered sharp price declines since their inception.

The Bold Idea of Merging All the Broccoli Meme Coins

A user on the X platform (previously Twitter) expressed concerns over the state of Broccoli projects, questioning the odds of any single broccoli reaching a 10x return on its own but suggesting that merging them could offer a better chance.

The fragmentation of Broccoli meme projects has deterred many investors due to uncertainty about which project would attract liquidity. Despite some Broccoli projects achieving market caps of tens of millions of USD within hours, many have collapsed due to sell-offs or scams.

Earlier in January, Binance introduced three Broccoli projects, including Broccoli (BROCCOLI), CZ’S DOG (Broccoli), and another Broccoli project into Binance Alpha, hinting at potential listings.

Ben Todar, a prominent BNB trader, remarked, “Merging all Broccoli under one new contract is the safest, most promising bet for everyone involved. The odds of any single Broccoli hitting 10x are slim to none on its own, but together? That’s a real possibility.” He acknowledged the distinctiveness of each community, making it difficult to select one standout project.

CZ, in turn, clarified that he did not launch a meme coin himself and emphasized letting the best meme coin win.

Will a Potential Merger Help BROCCOLI Explode?

The former Binance CEO has shown interest in this merger idea, believing it to be a suitable approach amidst the chaotic meme coin landscape. Recently, CZ revealed holding a significant amount of BNB, contributing to a spike in BROCCOLI coin prices. However, many BROCCOLI coins have lost most of their value since.

The three CZ’s Dog projects on Binance Alpha faced similar price declines, with over 40% of the tokens dropping in value post-announcement. The potential merger could be a strategy to salvage the situation, allowing a larger community to vote on listing their coin through a new Binance feature. Nonetheless, the timing and execution of this plan remain uncertain.
