Bitcoin Cash Surges by Over 30%

Bitcoin Cash has traded higher in the past 24 hours, surging by more than 30% to lead the top gainers among the largest coins by market capitalization.

The price of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) rose to an intraday high of $391 during early trading in the U.S. session on March 5, 2025. This marked the altcoin’s highest level since early February, when its price fell below $400.

Notably, BCH price increased amid a breakout from a falling wedge pattern, coinciding with the altcoin’s multi-year accumulation phase.

Data from IntoTheBlock shows the number of BCH holders in profit has risen slightly to 73%, along with a surge in whale transactions.

BCH Outpaces Top Coins

Market data at the time of writing showed Bitcoin Cash price hovered at $389, up nearly 30%, outpacing all top 10 coins. Bitcoin rose by 6.5%, Ethereum by 7.2%, and XRP by 3.9%.

With daily trading volume increasing by over 83% to over $942 million and a market cap of $7.65 billion, Bitcoin Cash led as the best-performing cryptocurrency among the top 100 by market cap in the last 24 hours. The intraday gains put BCH above Jito, Ondo Finance, and Chainlink, which were up between 14% and 22%.

BCH also outperformed Arbitrum, which rose by 13% after the U.S.-based trading app Robinhood added trading support for ARB.

A broader market bounce followed sharp volatility, with BTC moving from below $80k to nearly $90k. Recent news regarding tariffs and the U.S.’ crypto reserves helped the bulls, especially after Strategy founder Michael Saylor confirmed attendance at the inaugural White House Crypto Summit, along with Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick’s comments.

> “Markets are on edge, and crypto is moving in sync with equities,” noted Singapore-based QCP Capital in a post on X.

Analysts at the digital assets platform stated that Friday’s White House Crypto Summit will be a key event. Next week’s “big macro catalysts” could be the non-farm payrolls report and the consumer price index release, which will be crucial for market tone.
