Boeing Resumes Production of Airplane Programs

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Boeing (NYSE:BA) announced late on Tuesday that it has resumed production of all airplane programs that were previously halted due to a machinists strike in the Pacific Northwest.

The planemaker confirmed last week that it restarted production of its best-selling 737 MAX jetliner in early December, approximately one month after the end of a seven-week strike involving 33,000 factory workers.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO Stephanie Pope stated in a social media post on Tuesday that the company has "now resumed production across our 737, 767, and 777/777X airplane programs…. We have taken the time to ensure all manufacturing teammates are current on training and certifications, while also positioning inventory at optimal levels for smooth production.
