Brazilian Steelmakers Respond to U.S. Tariffs
SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Brazilian steelmakers lobby group Aco Brasil expressed surprise on Tuesday regarding the 25% tariffs imposed by the U.S. on steel and aluminum imports. They stated that such measures would not be beneficial for either country.
In their statement, Aco Brasil highlighted that a prior agreement between Brazil and the U.S. was advantageous and expressed their intention to initiate discussions to resume steel trade under the previous terms.
