SEC Acknowledges Bitwise’s Spot XRP ETF Filing

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission acknowledged Bitwise’s spot XRP ETF filing on Tuesday.

As reported by U.Today, Bitwise initially filed an application to launch the product in early October, giving the token a significant boost.

Last week, the regulatory agency also recognized XRP ETF filings from Grayscale and 21Shares. This was seen as an “enormous message” considering the SEC’s ongoing legal battles with Ripple.

While these acknowledgments do not guarantee approval of an XRP ETF, they positively indicate potential acceptance of the product.

According to popular crypto-focused betting website Polymarket, the likelihood of an ETF being approved in 2025 has now increased to nearly 80%.
