Bitcoin Price Surge Prediction
Gert van Lagen, noted technical analyst, predicts a potential Bitcoin (BTC) price increase of over 472% in the next year.
In his latest analysis, van Lagen identifies a step-like formation in Bitcoin’s price action, characterized by a series of consolidations and upward movements reminiscent of “steps” in an ascending trend.
He notes that this formation resembles the classic “cup with handle” bull pattern. In addition, he spots an ascending broadening wedge at a possible pre-breakout stage. This technical setup is significant because it breaks to the upside 79% of the time, and 67% of the time, it leads to a continuation of the prior trend.
Van Lagen sets an ambitious target price of $300,000 per BTC, translating to a potential increase of 472.44% from current levels, reflecting a bullish outlook for cryptocurrency.
Currently, Bitcoin’s price has stabilized around $63,500 per BTC for the last four days, aligning with the 200-day simple moving average, a key barrier for traders. As Bitcoin aims to overcome this moving average, watchers should be alert for signs of a breakout from the wedge pattern.
