Canadian Factory Sales Increase in July

According to a flash estimate from Statistics Canada, Canadian factory sales likely rose 1.1% in July compared to June. This increase was primarily driven by higher sales in the petroleum and coal products sector, as well as the chemical subsector.

The estimate was based on a weighted response rate of 68.1%. For reference, the average weighted response rate for the survey over the last 12 months was 94.4%.
