CANAL+ SA Officially Lists on London Stock Exchange

Investing.com — On Monday, CANAL+ SA announced that its ordinary shares have been admitted to the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and are now trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange (LON:LSEG). This listing involves 991,959,494 ordinary shares.

This move marks a significant milestone for CANAL+, which has evolved from a French subscription-TV channel to a global media powerhouse with operations in 52 countries and a presence in 195 nations.

As of December 2023, the company has reported 26.8 million subscribers and over 400 million monthly active users across its streaming platforms, including Dailymotion.

Known as one of Europe's leading media companies, CANAL+ has diversified its activities to include subscription-TV, content production through its Studiocanal studio, and telecommunications services.

The listing is not related to any share offering and comes after the company’s separation from Vivendi (OTC:VIVHY) SE. Barclays (LON:BARC) and BNP Paribas (OTC:BNPQY) acted as joint sponsors for the listing, supported by a consortium of financial and legal advisers.
