Cardano (ADA) Updates by Charles Hoskinson
Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano (ADA), has shared important news regarding future developments on the network. Notable updates include the launch of Midnight, a privacy-focused blockchain, as well as efforts to enhance support for Cardano Native Assets (CNA) on various exchanges.
Midnight Launch
Hoskinson confirmed that Midnight will debut this year, providing a new revenue stream for Cardano stake pool operators (SPOs). These operators will earn rewards in both NIGHT tokens and ADA by verifying transactions and maintaining two distributed ledgers instead of one.
Midnight is characterized as a privacy-centric sidechain that aims to strengthen Cardano’s ecosystem by offering confidential smart contracts, while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Improving CNA Support
Additionally, Hoskinson highlighted that there’s a need for better support of Cardano Native Assets (CNTs) on exchanges. While Kraken has embraced SNEK, one of Cardano’s notable memecoins, he acknowledged that more effort is required to facilitate the listing of additional assets: “We need to improve Cardano Native Asset support on exchanges. Kraken has warmly embraced us with SNEK, but there’s still a lot of work to do to get more CNTs listed.”
This is not investment advice.
