China Raises Concerns Over U.S. Tariffs and Sanctions

HONG KONG (Reuters) – During a meeting of the two countries' Economic Working Group in Washington, China expressed concerns regarding U.S. tariffs and Russia-related sanctions, as reported by China's finance ministry on Saturday.

China's Vice Minister of Finance, Liao Min, presented a range of stimulus policies recently introduced by the world's second-largest economy during the sixth meeting, alongside U.S. Treasury Undersecretary Jay Shambaugh, according to the ministry's statement.

While in the U.S. capital for the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, Liao also engaged in a courtesy talk with Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen following the Economic Working Group meeting.
