Chinese Economic Confidence
BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed on Tuesday that China has full confidence in reaching this year's economic growth target. He emphasized China's role as the world's largest engine of economic growth.
Xi also expressed hope for collaboration with the United States, the largest economy globally, as reported by Chinese state media.
He warned that there would be no winners in tariff wars, trade wars, and technology wars while addressing the heads of major international economic organizations.
China has set a 2024 economic growth target of around 5% this year.
