China Criticizes U.S. Drone Investigations

BEIJING (Reuters) – China condemned the United States as “extremely irresponsible” for unfounded suspicions regarding information security risks in its drone systems, as stated by the Ministry of Commerce on Tuesday.

China expressed strong dissatisfaction and opposition to the U.S. investigation into its drone systems, pledging to closely monitor the developments.

Furthermore, China urged the U.S. to acknowledge the facts and cease what it termed “erroneous practices.”

On Thursday, the U.S. Commerce Department revealed it was considering new regulations to impose restrictions or a ban on Chinese drones, citing national security concerns.
