U.S. Should Stop Threats for Deal
BEIJING (Reuters) – The U.S. should cease its threats and coercive tactics if it wishes to negotiate successfully, stated the Chinese foreign ministry on Wednesday in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments regarding possible lower tariffs on China.
Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun criticized the U.S. for maintaining ‘extreme pressure’ while attempting to reach a resolution, asserting that such an approach is not an appropriate way to engage with China.
