Web3 Privacy Platform COTI Activates Mainnet

COTI, a Web3 privacy platform, has successfully activated its mainnet as a scalable L2 for confidential transactions after 24 months of research and development. This L2 aims to create the missing link in Web3 infrastructure by offering Privacy-on-Demand for enterprises and consumers.

Developed in collaboration with Soda Labs, COTI’s high-speed layer 2 utilizes Garbled Circuits technology, claiming speeds up to 3,000x faster than existing solutions and supporting Privacy-on-Demand across major chains.

COTI CEO Shahaf Bar-Geffen emphasized the significance of the mainnet for decentralized applications (dApps) seeking improved privacy:

This initiative addresses the gap between privacy and compliance, vital for widespread adoption. Many institutions have refrained from engaging in sectors like Real World Assets (RWAs) due to lack of privacy solutions that ensure compliance with sensitive data protection.

COTI Celebrates Mainnet Launch with Airdrop

COTI’s mainnet is launched with support from an array of ecosystem partners, including Bancor’s Carbon DeFi platform, Band Protocol, MyEtherWallet (MEW), and PriveX, with additional collaborations anticipated.

COTI is also expanding its reach to governmental and CBDC projects, notably the Digital Shekel pilot with the Bank of Israel, with exciting announcements to come.

To celebrate the mainnet launch, the COTI Foundation will distribute 100 COTI tokens to tens of thousands of wallets. Users who connect COTI’s layer-2 network to MetaMask can claim the tokens. The launch includes a new Explorer and Bridge to facilitate upgrades from COTI V1 to V2 seamlessly.
