Gate.io has denied rumors about a hacking incident on their platform in an announcement on the social media platform X.

Rumors regarding a possible security breach surfaced early Friday across X and various Telegram groups. However, no specific details about the alleged attack were provided.

The company stated, "The Gate.io security team has not detected any abnormalities, nor have any security agencies reported issues." They emphasized that deposits, withdrawals, and trading are operating normally and urged users not to believe these rumors.

Despite social media claims encouraging users to withdraw their funds, the overall amount of assets on the platform remained stable, according to data from DefiLlama.

In a follow-up statement on its official website, Gate.io strongly condemned the dissemination of false information and the ensuing panic, asserting, "We reserve the right to pursue legal action."
