DWF Labs Considers Legal Action Against Former Partner

DWF Labs' Managing Partner Andrei Grachev announced on X that his firm is contemplating legal action against fired founding partner Eugene Ng due to serious allegations of drink spiking that emerged on social media.

Earlier this week, DWF Labs had announced the dismissal of a partner, without naming the individual, though Ng's profile was removed from the firm's team page. OpenEden, a real-world asset firm co-founded by Ng, also indicated it had suspended an unidentified team member.

Grachev expressed his shock upon viewing CCTV footage regarding the allegations, stating, "It’s the worst that a man could do, and it should entail severe punishment, no mercy. We withdraw our funds and consider further legal actions against Eugene."

The situation escalated after X user Hana accused a partner at DWF Labs of drugging her last week at a bar in Hong Kong. She stated, "I never thought I’d personally experience something like this… I have reported this to the local police and have collected video evidence of him spiking my drink."

Hana mentioned that a waitress informed her that her drink had been spiked several times while she was in the bathroom. She identifies herself as a Web 2.0 venture capitalist looking to transition into web3, and had met the alleged attacker for potential career discussions.
