Developer Interactions on Ethereum

Developer interactions on Ethereum lead all blockchain platforms with 168.3K registered developer activities, despite a 6.08% decrease. Ethereum remains a leader with 1.8K new developers contributing, marking a 1.86% growth in fresh involvement.

BNB Chain and Polygon

The BNB Chain saw a decline of 3.29% in developer activity, totaling 76.4K interactions, with 897 new contributors reflecting a slight increase of 0.1116%. Polygon recorded 74K interactions, down 5.93%, yet experienced a 1.16% growth with 698 new developers.

Layer 2 Solutions and Alternative Blockchains

Layer 2 solutions Arbitrum and Optimism reported varied activity levels. Arbitrum’s developer interactions fell by 4.59% to 62.6K, but new developers increased by 0.5376% (561 new). Optimism saw a 12.99% decline in interactions (57.3K) while gaining 502 new contributors, a 0.6012% rise.

Avalanche held a strong position with 51.2K developers, showing only a 0.1013% decline. It welcomed 423 new developers, equating to a 0.7143% growth in contributions.

Notable Growth and Declines Among Emerging Blockchains

Harmony was the only top ten blockchain to increase total activity, recording 45.8K interactions with a 4.08% growth and 381 new developers (4.67% increase). Solana had 43.1K interactions, down 3.53%, but saw a 0.7229% increase in new developers (418 contributors).

Cosmos faced a decline to 41.5K interactions (-11.13%) but gained 440 new developers, representing a 2.8% increase. Gnosis, in tenth place, had 36K interactions, reflecting a 5.05% decrease this month. Overall, Cosmos netted a decline in new contributors by 2.2%.
