Investor Morale in the Euro Zone Rises
BERLIN (Reuters) – Investor morale in the euro zone increased for the second consecutive month in November, albeit slightly less than anticipated. A survey released on Monday highlighted a modest boost in satisfaction with the current situation, improving the overall sentiment.
The Sentix index for the euro zone climbed to -12.8 in November from -13.8 in October, falling short of analysts' forecasts of -12.5.
Conducted between October 31 and November 2 with 1,066 investors, the survey indicated that expectations remained stagnant at -3.8 points this month.
>The Sentix report stated, "A turnaround looks different."
The score for the current situation showed a small improvement, rising to -21.5 in November from -23.3 the previous month.
In Germany, Europe's largest economy, investor morale also saw a slight rise for the second month, increasing to -29.8 from -31.5 in October.
The report concluded, "Even if the crisis cannot shock investors in Germany because they are already in a minor key, no positive turnaround scenario can be derived from this data."
