U.S. Inflation Data for December
ANNAPOLIS, Maryland (Reuters) – U.S. inflation data for December indicates that price pressures are continuing to ease. Richmond Federal Reserve President Thomas Barkin made this statement on Wednesday following a government report showing that a critical underlying measure of price increases had slowed last month.
Barkin mentioned in a press conference at a Maryland Chamber of Commerce event that “the Consumer Price Index report for December continues the story we have been on, which is that inflation is coming down towards target.”
