U.S. Federal Reserve Staff Appointments
(Reuters) – U.S. Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman has appointed three new staff members from the banking sector, as reported by Bloomberg News on Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
New Appointees
The three new hires will join the Fed’s Supervision and Regulation Division:
- Randall Guynn – Previously the chairman of the financial institutions group at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York until earlier this month.
- Aleksandra Wells – Former vice president at Goldman Sachs Group’s government affairs unit. She served on the Federal Reserve Board for about 14 years and has worked as an adviser to Bowman, according to her LinkedIn profile.
- Francisco Covas – An economist who led research at the Bank Policy Institute in Washington, he has also held positions at the Federal Reserve.
The Fed has chosen not to provide comments regarding these appointments.
