STEPN GO and CASIO Launch NFT Sneakers Collection

STEPN GO and CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. have partnered to introduce a unique collection of co-branded STEPN GO NFT Sneakers. This initiative is part of the “VIRTUAL G-SHOCK” project and will feature a limited release of 800 NFT Sneakers available through a Raffle Mint event from August 26 to August 29 on the gamified NFT marketplace “MOOAR”.
This marks STEPN GO’s first partnership, designed to facilitate the mass onboarding of Web3 users through innovative social features. One key feature is the ‘Haus System,’ a lending mechanism enabling users to share their Sneaker NFTs with friends and family new to the app, promoting rewards sharing and easing the process of understanding cryptocurrencies. Another notable feature is the ‘Interactive Map,’ allowing users to see and communicate with other players, even adding them as friends on the platform.
The “VIRTUAL G-SHOCK” initiative, launched in September 2023, seeks to expand Casio’s user base by creating unique G-SHOCK experiences in virtual spaces like NFTs and the Metaverse. The “STEPN GO” app rewards users for daily exercise, allowing for purchasing, lending, and borrowing of NFT Sneakers.
The limited edition NFT Sneakers draw inspiration from the G-SQUAD sports line of G-SHOCK, making them suitable for both athletic and virtual environments. Users can earn cryptocurrency based on their running or walking distances, linking physical activity with virtual rewards.
