BERLIN (Reuters) – German inflation remained flat year-on-year in January at 2.8%, according to preliminary data from the federal statistics office released on Friday. This figure aligns with analysts’ forecasts obtained from a Reuters poll.

In December, consumer prices also saw a year-on-year increase of 2.8%, based on data harmonized for comparison with other European Union countries.
