Germany’s Economic Outlook
BERLIN (Reuters) – According to Germany’s economy ministry, a tangible economic recovery can only be expected once there is clarity on the economic, financial, and geopolitical outlook. This statement came from their monthly report on Wednesday, following annual data indicating a recession in 2024.
The report warns that global production of industrial products remains modest, as does the outlook for German trade.
However, it notes that as the year progresses, inflation-dampening factors such as moderate price trends at upstream economic levels, the after-effects of restrictive monetary policy, and lower wage settlements are likely to gain the upper hand.
