IOTA’s Collaboration with the World Economic Forum

IOTA’s management team visited the World Economic Forum (WEF) headquarters in Geneva to collaborate on digitizing global trade and supply chains. They are leveraging Tangle technology for a more secure, efficient, and transparent data exchange between countries.

With the TWIN initiative, IOTA and WEF aim to address longstanding inefficiencies in global trade. By integrating digital solutions into trade logistics, they aspire to create a seamless, tamper-proof infrastructure that fosters trust and simplifies procedures.

On February 27, the IOTA Foundation blog announced a new alliance, which includes the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and Trademarks in Africa. Together, they are gradually transforming the landscape of trade.

This progress was formalized during the 13th WTO Ministerial Conference in Abu Dhabi, where IOTA and its partners signed a cooperation agreement to ensure that the governance of TLIP (Trade Logistics Innovations Programme) remains fair, open, and inclusive.

The goal is to establish a common digital space for all stakeholders to collaboratively shape the future of trade. A significant advantage of TLIP is IOTA’s distributed technology, which empowers individual participants to manage their own data and control access without relying on centralized authorities.
