Investing.com – Italy stocks experienced a decline following the close on Monday, driven by losses in the Technology, Industrials, and Healthcare sectors.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 decreased by 0.39%.

Best Performers

The top performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were:
Bper Banca SpA (BIT:EMII): rose 1.33% (+0.08 points) to 5.77.
DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS): increased 0.89% (+0.89 points) to 100.55.
Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (BIT:ISP): up 0.87% (+0.04 points) to 4.07.

Worst Performers

The worst performers included:
Iveco Group NV (BIT:IVG): down 3.20% (-0.31 points) at 9.39.
STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI): declined 3.06% (-0.76 points) to 24.10.
Amplifon (BIT:AMPF): dropped 2.74% (-0.71 points) to 25.17.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange with a ratio of 330 to 183, while 37 stocks remained unchanged.

STMicroelectronics reached a 3-year low at 24.10, while Intesa Sanpaolo SpA touched a 5-year high at 4.07. Amplifon fell to a 52-week low at 25.17.

Commodity Markets

Crude oil for December delivery rose 2.46% (+$1.71) to $71.20 a barrel.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery increased by 2.26% (+$1.65) to $74.75 a barrel, whereas the December Gold Futures contract decreased by 0.22% (-$6.05) to $2,743.15 a troy ounce.

Currency Markets

  • EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.09.
  • EUR/GBP remained unchanged at 0.84.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 103.78.
