Japanese Consumer Spending Declines
TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese consumer spending fell more than expected in June, according to government data released on Tuesday.

Annual Decline: Consumer spending contracted 1.4% in June from a year earlier, which is worse than the median market forecast of a 0.9% decline.

Monthly Change: On a seasonally adjusted, month-on-month basis, spending increased 0.1%, compared to an estimated 0.2% uptick.
