Malaysia’s Tax Incentives in Johor
KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – Malaysia is set to introduce a variety of tax incentives for companies and workers within its special economic zone alongside Singapore in Johor, as announced by the finance ministry on Wednesday.
The incentives, effective from January 1, will feature a 5% tax rate for up to 15 years for companies making new investments in manufacturing and services, which include areas like artificial intelligence, quantum computing supply chain, medical devices, and aerospace manufacturing.
Additionally, skilled workers will benefit from an income tax rate of 15% for 10 years.
