Phantom Wallet Integrates with Sui Blockchain

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, December 5th, 2024, Chainwire

Leading wallet Phantom, which has over 7M monthly active users, has chosen Sui’s "high-performant" blockchain for its next integration. The Sui Foundation announced that Phantom Wallet, a non-custodial multichain cryptocurrency wallet, is now integrating with the Sui network.

With 7 million monthly active users, Phantom boasts the largest on-chain user base among wallets in the web3 industry. It has recorded over 560M total on-chain transactions year-to-date and offers key features like staking, in-app token swaps, NFT storage, multichain support, and Ledger hardware wallet integration. This integration marks a significant milestone for the Sui network, allowing it to be the first blockchain beyond Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum to receive support from Phantom. Additionally, Sui is the first blockchain built around the Move language to partner with Phantom.

Integrating the Sui network enhances interoperability for Phantom Wallet, demonstrating a commitment from wallet providers and dApp builders to a multichain future.

> “The integration of Phantom Wallet with Sui represents a giant leap for the Sui ecosystem, which now gains access to a first-class wallet experience, featuring various functionalities that the Sui community has requested,” said Jameel Khalfan, Global Head of Ecosystem at the Sui Foundation. “Phantom Wallet is selective about which chains they support, and we proudly join this notable group.”

This integration will offer Sui users a reliable, secure wallet solution via a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave, along with a mobile app for iOS and Android.

> “We're excited to bring Sui support to millions of Phantom users,” stated Brandon Millman, CEO of Phantom. “Sui's thoughtful approach to scalability and developer-focused solutions aligns with our commitment to high-performant blockchains. We look forward to building together and supporting their growth.”
