Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer Confesses to Faking Osbourne Q&A
Ripple’s chief technology officer, David Schwartz, admitted to faking fan questions for Ozzy Osbourne during a Q&A, an experience he now regrets.
“I cheated,” Schwartz stated in a recent X post.
Recalling his time at WebMaster where he was tasked with transcribing responses from Osbourne and Black Sabbath, Schwartz described the situation: fans only wanted to hear from Osbourne, with no questions directed at the other band members.
To cover for this, he used pre-written “canned questions” and mixed responses from the band members with their manager’s input.
Reflecting on his actions, Schwartz expressed disappointment that the interaction lacked authenticity, noting only a couple of genuine fan questions were asked.
Additionally, Schwartz revealed that he censored Osbourne’s language during the interaction due to explicit content.
In related news, tributes to Osbourne led to a surge in memecoins inspired by him, with one, The Mad Man (OZZY), skyrocketing over 16,800%.
