The Shiba Inu ecosystem continues to expand, with approximately 840,000 new addresses added in the past year.
In 2024, SHIB approached its all-time high, reaching a peak of $0.000045 in March. However, it failed to maintain this position and, despite a market uptrend in Q4 2024, the price fell below $0.00002, currently trading at around $0.000015.
Growth of Addresses
Shiba Inu’s growth is evident in its address numbers. As of February 19, 2024, it had 3.8 million addresses, an increase of 600,000 since 2023. By February 19, 2025, this number had soared to 4.64 million, adding about 840,000 addresses over the year, which is 200,000 more than the previous year.
A significant portion of the increase came from addresses with zero balance, rising from 2.5 million to 3.26 million. Meanwhile, addresses with balances grew from 1.29 million to 1.39 million, reflecting a rise of 100,000 accounts.
Address Growth Metrics
Data shows that all categories of Shiba Inu holders, based on duration held, have increased over the year.
- Hodlers (over 1 year): Increased from 1.03 million to 1.06 million.
- Cruisers (1 to 12 months): Increased from 280,100 to 327,770.
- Traders (less than 1 month): Increased from 25,720 to 44,280.
This growth illustrates a consistent and widespread confidence in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, despite price fluctuations, indicating potential resilience in the community. Currently, SHIB trades at $0.00001542, remaining stable today.
