South Korea's Consumer Inflation in October
SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea's consumer inflation in October hit the weakest level since January 2021, according to official data released on Tuesday.
The consumer price index (CPI) rose 1.3% in October compared to a year earlier, a decline from 1.6% in September, as reported by Statistics Korea.
This figure was below the anticipated 1.4% increase predicted by a Reuters poll of economists and represents the slowest annual growth since January 2021.
Additionally, the index remained unchanged on a monthly basis from September, failing to meet the projected 0.2% gain forecasted in the poll.
