Treasure DAO Votes to Migrate to ZKsync

Treasure DAO members have “overwhelmingly” voted to approve a plan to migrate the blockchain gaming ecosystem from Arbitrum to ZKsync, as announced on Monday.

The organization stated, “Treasure will be bringing the decentralized game console to the Elastic Chain.” The community’s vote in favor of launching the Treasure L2 as part of the ZKsync ecosystem was at an impressive 99.5%.

Earlier this month, the proposal detailing this migration was submitted to DAO members. It included plans to initiate the Treasure chain as an L2, utilizing ZKsync’s ZK Stack technology, rather than the previously intended Arbitrum Orbit.

A new public testnet named ‘Topaz’ is currently being developed, allowing games and players to explore and build in this new environment, with the mainnet expected to launch in the next 1.5 to 2 months.

The token swap between Treasure and the ZKsync Foundation will take place in the coming days. Treasure DAO emphasized its commitment to working closely with over 10 blockchain games on its web3 gaming console to ensure a smooth transition.
