Tropical Storm Francine Updates
(Reuters) – Tropical storm Francine has formed over the Louisiana coast and is expected to gain hurricane strength on Wednesday, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC).
The storm is located approximately 480 miles (770 km) south-southwest of Cameron, Louisiana, with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph (80 kph), as noted by the Miami-based forecaster on Monday.
