Basic Controls Needed at U.S. Treasury
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Basic controls are needed at the U.S. Treasury, Elon Musk stated on Tuesday. This comes after a U.S. district judge blocked Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency from accessing Treasury’s payment systems.
While speaking alongside President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, Musk told reporters that federal bureaucracy members were becoming wealthier at the expense of taxpayers. He emphasized that the public’s elected representatives should decide on agency actions, rather than a large unelected bureaucracy.
