President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. will maintain a baseline 10% tariff on imports, even after new trade deals are finalized. He mentioned that exemptions could be available if countries propose significant trade terms.
Trump also indicated that new trade deals are anticipated in the coming weeks, but reiterated, “we always have a baseline of 10%.”
