Turkey Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, and Insurance sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.53%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were:
– Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT), which rose 5.02% or 0.72 points to trade at 15.06.
– Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) added 4.62% or 1.94 points to end at 43.90.
– Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) was up 4.39% or 285.00 points to 6,775.00 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
– BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which fell 7.52% or 40.50 points to trade at 498.00.
– Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 4.61% or 2.65 points to end at 54.85.
– Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was down 3.54% or 0.82 points to 22.34.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 335 to 224 and 18 ended unchanged.

Commodity Trading

Gold Futures for December delivery were down 0.76% or 20.40 to $2,674.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $67.77 a barrel.
– The December Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $71.14 a barrel.

Currency Exchange

USD/TRY was up 0.06% to 34.16, while EUR/TRY fell 0.08% to 38.14.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.17.
