(Reuters) – There is a 59% chance of La Niña emerging from November 2024 to January 2025, with a transition to ENSO-Neutral most likely by March-May 2025, according to a U.S. government forecaster from Thursday.
La Niña is a phenomenon characterized by unusually cold ocean temperatures in the equatorial Pacific region and is linked to floods and drought.
