Bitcoin Post from the White House

In an interesting development, a rather surprising post about Bitcoin was shared from the White House’s official X account on a Saturday evening.

“America as the world’s Bitcoin superpower,” the post said, echoing a slogan from the Trump administration, “America’s golden age has begun.”

Along with this message, a photo was shared showing US President Donald Trump signing the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Executive Order. The image features US cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence chief David Sacks.

This unexpected Bitcoin-friendly post seems to have angered economist Peter Schiff, known for his criticism of crypto and Bitcoin. Schiff questioned the source of the post, the control of the official White House X account, and whether Trump was aware of the message. He remarked, “What a disgrace that the office of the presidency is being used for the benefit of a few speculators and to the detriment of the country.”

Despite recent significant steps by the US administration regarding Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, the BTC price remains around $86,000.
