Worldcoin Partners with Dune Analytics

Worldcoin announced a partnership with Dune Analytics aimed at enhancing transparency and data accessibility for its Layer-2 blockchain, World Chain.

The Dune partnership is designed to equip World Chain users with additional tools and insights. According to Worldcoin, "Dune will enable the Worldcoin community to have accessible on-chain data by providing detailed analytics or insights."

This collaboration aims to allow developers and users to explore important metrics, such as the number of genuine human interactions on the chain, the performance of DeFi protocols or DEXs built on World Chain, and other relevant on-chain statistics.

Announced in April, World Chain is secured by Ethereum within the Superchain network of Layer 2 chains, constructed using the OP Stack. Scalability was a significant driving factor for Worldcoin's transition to its own chain, with estimates suggesting that World Chain could handle about double the workload of the OP Mainnet.

Set for Migration

The activation of the World Chain mainnet will facilitate the migration of over 10 million World App users from the existing OP Mainnet infrastructure. The mainnet launch was initially planned for this summer.

Led by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s company Tools for Humanity, the Worldcoin project focuses on verifying individuals' "humanness" or "personhood," while preserving their privacy in an increasingly AI-driven digital landscape. To date, Worldcoin has issued nearly 7 million World IDs to users who confirmed their humanity through iris scans.

Remco Bloemen, Head of Blockchain at Worldcoin Foundation, stated, “With Dune’s powerful analytics tools, we can provide users and developers with accessible on-chain data, empowering them to make informed decisions and drive innovation on World Chain.”

Dune is an internet platform that allows users to query public blockchain data, aggregate information, and present their findings on dashboards. Dune co-founder and CEO Fredrik Haga noted that the World Chain-Dune integration will provide developers and analysts with the critical tools needed to monitor the Layer 2's performance as the network continues to expand.
