Research firm Messari has released data titled “State of Helium Q4 2024,” which provides quantitative metrics and qualitative information on Helium Network’s growth, adoption, and operational developments in the final quarter of 2024. The report offers valuable insights into Helium’s advancements over a four-month period, focusing on the expansion of mobile and IoT network capabilities in the DePIN project.

- Data Transfer: Helium Network transferred over 576 TB of offloaded data, a 555% increase from the previous quarter.
- Helium Mobile Subscribers: By the end of Q4, Helium Mobile served over 124,000 subscribers for its unlimited talk and text service, a 7% increase from the previous quarter. Recently, this number has exceeded 150,000.
- Hotspot Growth: Helium’s mobile hotspot count increased by 14% to 24,800, while IoT hotspot count grew by 20% to 32,900 after migrating to Solana.
- Partnerships: Helium Network partner Nova Labs tested hotspots in collaboration with Telefonica in Mexico, demonstrating interoperability between a decentralized network and a major telecommunications company.
