This model is equipped to perform complex editing prompts in various artistic styles and can accurately render text within images, a significant improvement over previous models.
Social media users are eager to generate images reminiscent of Studio Ghibli, the renowned Japanese animation studio famous for hits like “Spirited Away” and “Princess Mononoke.”

OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, also joined this trend by updating his profile picture on X.
Despite the excitement, the new model has sparked copyright infringement concerns since it may have been trained using numerous frames from Studio Ghibli’s films.
Hayao Miyazaki, the legendary animator who co-founded Studio Ghibli, has expressed his distaste for artificial intelligence, claiming he will never integrate it into his work. Thus, it’s likely he would disapprove of this new trend.
